Ice Fisure was built on a single, uncompromising idea: the tool you rely on in the cold should never rely on you handing over personal data. Here's how we treat your information — and the short version is that there's almost nothing to treat, because everything happens on your device.
Information We Collect
We don't collect anything. Ice Fisure has no accounts, no sign-up, and no login. We never ask for your name, email, phone number, or location. The gear lists, base camp notes, route observations, ice readings, and survival calculations you enter stay on your device and are never transmitted to us or anyone else.
How We Use Information
Because we never collect your data, there is nothing for us to use, analyze, profile, monetize, or sell. Every feature — from energy and exposure math to your equipment checklists — runs entirely on-device. We have no servers receiving your activity and no interest in tracking what you do.
Data Storage
All of your information lives locally, in the app's own storage on your phone or tablet. There is no cloud sync, no remote backup, and no off-device copy. Your data stays physically with you — which is exactly why it keeps working in places with no connection at all.
Third-Party Services
Ice Fisure includes no third-party analytics, no advertising networks, no trackers, and no embedded marketing SDKs. We don't share data with partners because no data ever leaves your device for us to share.
Data Security
Operating fully offline is itself a security model. With nothing transmitted over a network and nothing stored on external servers, the most common avenues for data exposure simply don't exist here. Your information is protected by your device and the access controls you already use to lock it.
Children's Privacy
Since Ice Fisure collects no data from anyone, it collects no data from children. The app is safe for users of all ages and honors the spirit of COPPA: no personal information is gathered from anyone under 13, because none is gathered at all.
Your Control
You hold complete control over everything in the app. Your records remain on your device for as long as you choose, and removing them is as simple as deleting the app, which permanently erases its local data. There are no online accounts to close and no backups elsewhere for us to retain.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy ever changes, we'll update the text and revise the Effective Date above so you always know which version applies. Any update will keep the same core commitment: no collection, no off-device storage, no sharing.
